Tusten Social, Hurleyville Performing Arts, Black Library receive funding

MONTGOMERY, NY — The Orange and Sullivan Equity Fund, a component fund of the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan (CFOS), has announced ts inaugural grants to six regional organizations. The applicants were chosen in December of 2024 to fund projects planned for 2025. Tusten Social, for its teen youth club; The Black Library, for its annual fashion show; and the Hurleyville Performing Arts Center, for its “REEL PERSPECTIVES: Diverse Voices, Shared Stories” series, were the Sullivan County recipients.

Orange County grant recipients are the Newburgh Urban Farm and Food Initiative (NUFFI), a fresh food distribution program; Leadership Orange; and EC Media Group Foundation for its media production internships

“CFOS is pleased to support organizations who work to strengthen and celebrate community equity and diversity,” said Andréa Bedrosian, CFOS development coordinator. “These crucial programs, many of which are grassroots efforts, create an invaluable ripple effect in the Hudson Valley and beyond. We look forward to growing and partnering with these initiatives annually.”
