Using Dividend ETFs for Dividend Stock Research



Dividend ETFs are a great place to start with when researching Dividend Stocks.

In this video, I was asked how to find good dividend stocks to invest in. I suggested using Dividend ETFs as start place.

Typically the investment companies that operate dividend ETFs have done the research to compile the best dividend stocks available. Your average investors can use this as a shortcut in their when research dividend stocks, saving them time.

We use the Vanguard High Yield Dividend Yield ETF (VYM) in today’s example.

Vanguard High Yield Dividend ETF (VYM) hold $38 Billion in assets, with its top 10 Dividend Stock Holdings being:

1.) Johnson & Johnson (JJ)
2.) JP Morgan (JPM)
3.) Proctor & Gamble (P&G)
4.) Verizon Communication (VZ)
5.) Comcast (CMCSA)
6.) Bank Of American (BAC)
7.) Pfizer (PFE)
8.) Walmart (WMT)
9.) AT&T (T)
10.) Intel (INTC)
