The event, promoted by Veronafiere, recognized excellence in packaging design, showcasing a blend of vision, talent, and cultural project. This year’s competition was under the Artistic Direction of designer Mario Di Paolo, ensuring a high standard of selection through a jury of 30 experts from various sectors, including luxury packaging, large-scale distribution, e-commerce, and specialized media. Among the jury members were notable figures such as Antonella Andriani, Vice President of ADI-Compasso d’Oro, Simonetta Doni, Founder and CEO of Doni & Associati, and Daniele Colombo, Category Manager for beverages at Esselunga. The evening also honored Gavino Sanna with the Career Award 2025 for his lasting impact on advertising and design in Italy. Awards were presented in 20 categories, each featuring Black, Gold, Silver, and Bronze trophies, alongside 11 Special Awards. Two Best in Show awards were given to “Laus Vitae” by Citra Vini (Spazio di Paolo) and “5th Element Gin” by Distilleria Eterea (Dario Frattaruolo Design Studio), for their absolute excellence in merging aesthetics, technical innovation, and identity narrative. In the White Wines category, “Il Bianco” by Do Man (Killeridea) won the Black award, while “Laus Vitae” by Citra Vini (Spazio di Paolo) took the Black award for Red Wines. Among Rosé Wines, “Teméria” by Maria Faretra (Stefano Bracci) won the Black award, and in the category of Sparkling Wines, “Brut Nature 72” by Dolomis (Killeridea) emerged victorious. For Fine Wines, the Black award was claimed by “Êra Passito” from Baglio di Pianetto (Spazio di Paolo). In the Timeless Wines category, “Buiano Chianti Classico” by Marchesi Antinori (Spazio di Paolo) won the trophy. For GDO Wines, the award went to “Famiglia Pescato” by Brand Breeder (Spazio di Paolo). The Black Award for Restyling Wines was conferred to “Nativae Montepulciano d’Abruzzo” by Tenuta Ulisse (Spazio di Paolo), while “Alaterra” by Davide Quintili (Durante Associati) won among the Illustrated Wines. The Concept category saw the Black award assigned to “Anteprima” (Officina Grafica). In the Aromatized Wines/Cocktail Base/Soft Drinks/No Alcohol category, the Black award went to “Negroni Ready-to-Drink” by Sabatini Gin (Dario Frattaruolo), while in the Liqueur Wines category, “Êra Passito” by Baglio di Pianetto (Spazio di Paolo) won again. For the Series section, “Mirata” by La Guardiense (D’Aroma Studio) obtained the Black award. Among Limited Editions, “El Pul Bitter” by Grafical (Dario Frattaruolo) prevailed. In Private Label, the wines of “Famiglia Pescato” by Brand Breeder (Spazio di Paolo) were awarded. Among Clear Spirits, “5th Element Gin” by Distilleria Eterea (Dario Frattaruolo) triumphed, while the Black award for Dark Spirits went to “Amaro Seneghe” by GAM (Basile ADV). In the Secondary Pack category, the Black award was won by “Olio della Corte” by Ca’ del Bosco (Spazio di Paolo), which also took the award in Extra Virgin Olive Oils. Finally, in the Beers category, the Black trophy was awarded to “Blackout” by Birrificio Ventitré (Basile ADV). Special Awards 2025 included the Best Coordinated Image for “Olio della Corte Ca’ Del Bosco e al suo Packaging Secondario” (Spazio di Paolo), the Best GDO Label awarded to “Famiglia Pescato” by Brand Breeder (Spazio Di Paolo), and the Best Illustration for “Querelle” by Tonutti Tecniche Grafiche (Massimiliano Gosparini). The Best Innovation was awarded to “Mater” by Profilia (Basile ADV), and the Best Use of Color went to “Edizione Speciale Famiglia Cillario Barolo” by Ceretto (Spazio Di Paolo). The Best Closure by Guala Closures was awarded to “Conuvio Pinot Grigio” by Valdadige (Studio Poletto), while the Best Use of Paper by Fedrigoni went to “San Clemente Montepulciano Zaccagnini” by Argea (Spazio Di Paolo). The Best Use of Embellishments by Luxoro and the Best Use of Glass by Vetreria Etrusca were awarded to “Aperitivo Mediterraneo” by Venturo (Robilant Associati) and “In Purezza – Nero D’Avola” by Baglio di Pianetto (Spazio Di Paolo), respectively. The Agency of the Year award was assigned to Spazio di Paolo. The Vinitaly Design Award 2025 was supported by Guala Closures, Fedrigoni, Luxoro, and Vetreria Etrusca, alongside other partners such as Cartes, Pozzoli, Sanfaustino Label, Relegno, Atiu, F.lli Magro, Amorim Cork Italia, and Grafiche Antiga, emphasizing the growing importance of packaging as a hallmark of Italian excellence.
