1. Whats going on and why did they change the name
– As you know the most popular plateform that Meta Owns are Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp
– And Facebook main business is advertisement and the collecting and selling of Data ( not directly though)
– Now just so you know the Parent Company is Meta ( nothing is changing with facebook and friends itself – and the new ticker simple is going from FB to MVRS )

Here are some details you need to know:
– Oculus VR for 2 billion dollars ( this is a company that focus on virtual reality ): that’s gets everyone excited and people want to see a ready player one In the real world.
– Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram: Get around 2.9Billion (FB), 1B (IG) and 2Billion on whatapp ( which is attractive to company trying to advertise )
– Apple Privacy change (1billion people have an iphone): to sum it up, apps are not allowed to track your other activities with others apps anymore unless you allow it ( means less information for facebook and advertiser )
– Leaked Documents and Contraversy about anti this and bad this and freedom of speech that
– Pulled advertising: Meaning big advertiser like Coco-cola and startbucks pulled out facebook

Why is this Important: Facebook make 70billion dollars in advertising in 2019 and 84.2 billion

2. Why I’m I telling you all of this
– Because think about it ( if you become the guy and people no longer want to use you for advertising )
– And shareholders lose confidence ( less earnings)
– And uses start going somewhere else

This all Screams Bad for business and we Gonna Lose Money
– So the word on the street is, facebook is doing this rebrand to distract us from all the stuff going on
– And that’s why they are using all these famous creators and paying to talk it
– To be fair I do like the idea of the META thing, but according to people that know about the tech this could 10-20-30 or even 40 years ( so it kinda seems like a distraction )

What it looks like, is a distraction from Allegations in Court, profits potentially going down because of apple policy change and whatever else facebook has going on like ( Cocola, Verizon and star-bucks pulling advertising ) – if it does start again
– You guys remember the ad apocalypse that happened to youtube
– When big companies stopped advertising on the platform because of bad news ( think that but worst )

3. My Opinion:
– I think people are fickle, meaning they can love you one day and hate you the next. I also think that business Is ruthless and without overseeing certain parts of it, things could get very bad. I also think propaganda is very real, which is the manipulation of conversation for whatever you want it to be.
– So should you invest in facebook, stop using facebook, the answer is learn from both sides and then make your own decision. Stop letting people on the internet make life decision for you, it’s a lazy way to make decisions.
