What’s In My Wallet Right Now

I remember my friend, he asked me for $1 and showed me his Louis Vuitton wallet to prove to me, that it was empty; that day I realized you can’t judge a book by its cover.

When I say I’m the most boring guy on YouTube, I really mean it; I use to be more exiting when I was managing a bunch of different credit cards, and leveraging points and getting signup bonuses left and right. However then I realize those are cool games but they are not going to make me rich so I started focusing on the big picture and its pretty boring, and it’s pretty LONG TERM

So here is what to expect from this short video, I’m going to tell you what I carry in my wallet and why, talk about my wallet and why I use it, and what I’ve learned from operating this way.

1. Cash

-I usually carry between $40-200 in cash and that’s because I’m currently in Dominican Republic and cash is really king here ( in America it’s like $20 for a cab home)

Benefits of Having Cash

-I feel pain when I spend to much of it on trash, unlike credit cards

-Limits my access to capital ( I cant spend more cash than I have on hand )

-Accepted everywhere, some places don’t take my discover or my Mastercard

Tips:

-Never carry more cash than you can afford to lose or would want to lose

-The other day I was carrying a little over 1000 dollars, because someone paid me some money, and I didn’t like that feeling

-So carry just enough that if you lost it, you won’t go crazy looking for it

2. Debit Cards

-I carry about 6 debit cards, don’t ask me why either

-But I use to have a lot of the money separated in different place but these days I keep separated in the same place with sofi money

My most use debit cards are:

-Sofi Debit Card and Puerto Rico bank Popular Debit Cards

-Mostly because these are preset budget debit cards

-And the other debit cards, are really just their for odd expenses and some are just their

Benefits:

-Safer than carry a bunch of cash

-If money is stolen I can claim it

-And it’s convenient

3. Credit Cards

-Can you guess how many credit cards I carry, the answer Is not 20 or 10

It’s literally just 1

-I carry my discover credit cards

Why:

-Access to capital when I need it ( buying some home stuff and the money was in another account )

-Foreign conversion rates are better with it

-Easier to claim lost money
