Why I Bought more Stocks (Robinhood Shuts Down, Fed Cut Rates )

So in less than a week, the Dow Jones Crashed aka the stock market, the fed cut rates Aka your Savings interest went down and also RobinHood Shut down.

SO for this video, I wanted to give you guys an honest update on updates on all of these issues and what exactly you should be doing and also what I’m doing.

Why I bought more Stocks (Robinhood Shut Down, Fed Cut Rates)

Segway: let’s get started: First things first: it feels like a movie, like the big Short, comment down below if you’ve seen it and if you haven’t, then you definitely need to watch that movie.

1. Market Crashed + Market Bounce Back + Now it’s going down again:
So Basically:

Monday: Market Goes Down: I bought More
Wednesday it goes back up: Okay?
Thursday today: IT goes back down?
( this is solely based on emotion and worry, how to remember when you’re investing you are investing in companies, not into emotions. )

Details:
What does it mean? People are Worried, which is normal.
Why did it happen? It happened because the Elephant, and its because analyst believe that it will halt economical growth
How I’m Handling it? I bought more stocks, and instead of my usual $500 dollars monthly investment, I’m going to invest $1000 – $1500.

Facts:
– 1960, it’s been common to experience market dips of 5% every year
– And full-blown corrections of 10% every year or two
– It has also bounced back every single time

For Example: On December 2018 the stock market had one of its worst Decembers since the great depressions
– But if you kept your cool and held till the end of 2019, you would have seen a gain of 28%

: this means you are Okay

Facts about the Issue:
– Some Professionals Say: It only affects the elderly
– Only 2% actually get really bad and so on
– Most issues are not that serious around 80% of them

Now Here my Opinion: Based on facts and history, we know this is not the first time this has happened. So I’m going to capitalize on it, because either way, I’m investing for the long run.

2. Robinhood Shut Down
What Happened? Robinhood shut down for two days because the load and traffic was so heavy that it causes a chain effect that causes their system to crash. Aka DNS System Failure.
– Record Account Signups
– Record Trading volume
– And all because of the market conditions
Why it matters? Well say for example you had a position on a stock, and you were supposed to execute the trade, but robin hood went down. Now you can do anything but wait. ( watcht he big Short this will make sense)
How I’m Handling it? I didn’t even realize until I saw Graham videos, mainly because all of my investments are long term and not short term

One of the most popular Investing apps shut down
Fact: Robin has Millions of users
– And I’m sure that some people wanted to capitalize and trade and potentially make a profit
– And they couldn’t because the app went down for 2 days.

The Problem: I think even if you didn’t have plans to trade that day, now that people are talking about a class-action lawsuit, well not everyone is definitely mad
Solution: According to some sources like business iNsider, Robinhood may give some users access to 3 months of Premium gold features they have.

3. Fed Cut Rates/ Interest Rates went down
What does it mean? When The fed Cuts, its to try to Help the economy, Lower rates, help get more money into the economy, since money is cheaper to borrow.
Why did it happen? Because of the elephant, the fed saw a risk to the economy and decided to act fast and had an emergency decision.
How I’m Handling it? I know a lot of you guys are worried about.

– You’re savings account: But in reality, you cant rich with Savings, the entire point is to part your money and then invest to make more money.
– And you guys with CDs feel so Cool: Locking your money in even at 3%, means it’ll take you a little over 30 Years to double your money.
