Why this is the best checkings account

1. Why I like Sofi Money Checkings accounts
– I know theirs a lot of competition with online banks
– Like ally bank, varo bank, and now even Robinhood and every brokerage is making their own debit card
– But I think Sofi has been ahead for a long time and willing to make changes to help customers more

Plus ps: I’ve tried almost all those banks and I’ve done reviews on them also.

2. Here all the pros with Sofi
– I have to be transparent, I don’t like switching banks a lot ( but I have no loyalty to banks)
– So as long as Sofi stays competitive and doesn’t fall behind I will continue to use them
– But I’m not going to be like my Mom that has had the same bad bank for years and refuses to try anything else

Pro 1 Early Bird Special: Atms which were a big question mark with online banks
– One of the biggest problems for me with online banks was the ATM problem if I ever needed cash
– But if you joined sofi when it first came out, they let you use whatever atm in the entire planet and refund you the fee ( and they still uphold that )
– But if you didn’t join then ( they work with allpoint, which has 55k ATMs nationwide ) – Show them ( they work with Walgreens, CVS, Target, and ride aid ) – so Atm usually is not going to be more than 5-10M away

Pro 2 Multiple Accounts ( Vaults )
– If you ever accidentally spent your rent money on food, this is good for you
– This is great for keeping your money separate and save for long term use
– So I would recommend that things you want to buy you can place it inside here and save up for it
– And yes the money is still FDIC insured, it can be transferred within seconds ( so don’t worry about that )
– They also have to autosave new feature and round up new features

Pro 3 Hybrid Account: Fdic Insured
– So it’s like a savings account but also checkings accounts
– Meaning you get paid some money but you have no limit on how you can spend
– And right now the highest rates around .50%, sofi offers .25% but I don’t care as long they are competitive and are not like big banks offering .01%

Bonus:
– Mobile check deposit
– Overdraft covered up to $50 ( with direct deposit )
– You can order checks
– Rewards

3. Here are the things I wish it had
– Because no bank is perfect

Free Cash Deposit Problem ( allpoint has new ATMs that allow deposits – so most likely this will change )

No Zelle ( but Venmo and apple pay do work )

A lot of confusion: they have a lot of products,
– Investing
– Loans
– Credit cards
– Rewards

Why it’s a problem: conflict of interest
– But they are fiduciary which means they are supposed to act in your best interest
– So that gives me peace of mind

Tip: so use it for what its good for, and for me that’s the best checkings account currently
