Women empowering other women through entrepreneurial business luncheon


RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) – Women sharing stories of inspiration will be the focus this year for the 13th annual Celebrating Women In Business Luncheon and Awards at the Spearfish Holiday Inn on May 2 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., highlighting the impact of outstanding women entrepreneurs across South Dakota.

Failing Forward, the theme for this year’s luncheon is about women offering guidance and leadership in finding success through setbacks in business says Program Coordinator for the SD BEO Women’s Business Center, Bailey Sardowsky. She urges women to come to celebrate and network with like-minded individuals and fellowship with other business leaders. Come be inspired by hearing from local women who will share their stories of how they made their pivots, great and small, that impacted their careers. Sadowsky says the day finishes with the annual Outstanding Women in Business Award which will get voted live at the event.

SD CEO West Women in Business Center provides training, seminars, and workshops to meet the needs of startup and existing businesses. Sardowsky says they provide counseling and facilitate how SBA might best serve client needs encourage the best direction in pursuit of a successful business and identify resources for comprehensive training, mentoring, and counseling to help entrepreneurs reach business goals.

Sardowsky says keynote speakers for the luncheon will include Molly Brown, Gen Pro Energy Solutions Kayla Klein, Klein Visioneering Group, and over 30 women nominated. The state-wide, Outstanding Women In Business Awards will be announced as well.

Sardowsky adds that attendees can vote live on the ‘Women’s Choice Award’. Today is the final day to pre-register for the early-bird specials.
