BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) – The public was invited to network with several local and federal businesses, courtesy of the West Virginia Hive Network.

This free event was held at the Historic Black Knight Country Club from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. on Thursday, June 27, 2024.

Universities and community colleges set up shop to offer resources, along with plenty of other businesses, like the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, First Community Bank, and JJN Multimedia.

Senior Business Advisor of the Hive, Mary Legg, told 59News what the Hive’s mission is with this networking event. “Our goal is to make sure every entrepreneur has the connection to that they need to all the resources that they need,” said Legg. “Entrepreneurship can be lonely and a little bit scary and we try to eliminate some of that by creating a great network for those entrepreneurs.”

The Hive is the entrepreneurship part of New River Gorge Regional Development Authority to help businesses and communities.
