1. Passive Income Is growing
– Everyone should have a goal for passive income
– Either through stocks, real estate, or whatever you want to do
– My goal is to get 48k a year in passive income, by taking out 4% of my portfolio size of 1.4M
Why:
– This will give me the security to let me know if I’m working its because I want to
– Because I enjoy the work I do
– And sometimes it can just be supplemental income, to work a job that doesn’t pay that much but you love to work
2. You can be more selective with who you work with
– I don’t dislike or hate anyone
– But I like having the freedom of who I work with
– I couldn’t choose who I worked with at college, Gap, New York sports club, or any other company
If someone was:
– Lazy, mean, rude, and tried to take away my energy
– The best I could do is try to ignore them
– But when you have wealth you can work with people you like
Tip: I don’t do business with people I don’t like
3. Doing this is an Options, not a limitation
– You know when you get invited to go to a restaurant or party or a vacation ( and you say no I can’t go ) – that’s a lack of options because you don’t have money
– But if you say no “ I don’t want to do, that’s an option”
– And having options and fewer limitations is always better
However:
– You always be limited to certain things, you can’t just go buy new York
– Or 50 lambos
– But you can option to participate in things you want to
Tip: I admire warren buffet for this a lot, he can buy or do whatever he wants in the world. And for him, he already is doing it. He doesn’t care about anyone else things.
4. You don’t have to say Yes
– You know when you have a boss and they ask you if you can do something
– But it’s not really a questions its more of, if you don’t do it, I’ll just find someone else
– Having wealth means you can say no more often without being afraid
Sometimes;
– This gets even worth it because people take advantage of you
– So be very careful
– Coffee and story and lottery tickets
5. You don’t pee yourself you think about losing your job
– I remember the first time I almost got fired and how scared I was
– I didn’t have any money so if I lost the job I would be screwed
– But when you have an emergency account for 6 months you know you’ll be fine
6. You have people that love you
– Money Is great, but if people don’t anything nice to say about on your funeral then you did something wrong
– Wealth also comes from having people that love you and really care about you
– At the end of the day, that’s what life is really about
7. You feel good health-wise
– Obesity and diseases are not cool
– Some are genetic but a lot are preventable through hard work
– So this machine you have to take care of it
