When you choose a first camera lens for a DSLR Camera you need to know what camera lenses make sense for the type of photography or video work you will be doing.

Different camera lenses will work better for different situations and you may not always need the most expensive options available beyond your kit lens. For many shooters choosing a 50mm lens for their next upgrade is the right choice because they can get great quality at an affordable price and plenty of flexibility.

I feel that every shooter should invest in a good 50mm lens for their camera system or at least some other prime lens like a 24mm or and 85mm.
