After two days of traveling, we land in Singapore’s Changi Airport in this family travel vlog. We were so excited to get started exploring Singapore but first we decided to try to check in to our hotel and drop off our luggage.

We had planned to take the Singapore MRT but the lines to get a MRT card were so long that we decided to take an Uber instead. After a short 15 minute ride, we pulled up to our hotel: the Pan Pacific Singapore. It was absolutely beautiful inside!

The Pan Pacific was incredibly accommodating and let us check in early. We took some time to tour the hotel and our room including taking much-needed showers (22 hours worth of travel, especially travel with a toddler, will do that to you!).

We ventured out for some lunch and decided to walk over to the Singapore Flyer for food and fun. But on the way there something else caught our attention. The Nagasaki, Japan Tourism board was there showcasing their city’s food and culture. We got to try green tea made from tea leaves grown in Nagasaki, got dressed in kimonos, and watched a drum show.

After getting another taste of Japan while in Singapore, we headed over to the Singapore Flyer and tried out the food at the local hawker center (a Singapore food court). This is where we tried hianese chicken and rice for the first time. After having lunch at the hawker center we were exhausted so we headed back to the hotel to rest up for a few hours. But Tasha was so tired that we didn’t end up going back out at all that day.
