How to Become a Better Graphic Designer? It’s a tough question and one most designers ask themselves at some point.

Joshua Pomeroy is a great designer, illustrator and all around creative whose work and creativity I really admire. I have invited him to the channel to share his thoughts on how to become a better Graphic Designer, but I think these tips could apply to many creative fields besides graphic design.

If you want to become truly better at graphic design you will have to improve your understanding of graphic design techniques, learn from other graphic designers, and seek creative inspiration.

These are things many people learning graphic design overlook, even if they are established in their design career, this is still very important for growth. In learning Graphic Design, we must also learn how to use everything around us as creative inspiration while retaining our own unique style and still making everything as practical as possible. This is not easy and one of the more frustrating aspects of graphic design that is taken for granted.

Something not mentioned enough in Graphic Design is the importance of self initiated work.
