A dozen local school districts and organizations have received a grant to help fund programs aimed at stopping bullying.

A dozen local school districts and organizations have received a grant to help fund programs aimed at stopping bullying.

The Albany County Legislature awarded nearly $100,000 to support these anti-bullying efforts as part of a broader initiative to prevent youth violence and foster stronger community engagement.

Twelve nonprofits and school districts will each receive a share of the funding. The recipients include:

  • Academy of the Holy Names
  • Albany Community Land Trust
  • Boght Hills Elementary PTA
  • Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School District
  • Come Connect Church & Wills Barbershop
  • Delmar Rotary
  • From the Block to the Books
  • Green Island Union Free School District
  • Pine Hills Elementary School
  • S&S Capital Consulting
  • Sister to Sister Awakening
  • Voorheesville Central School District

These grants will help empower local communities to create safer, more inclusive environments for students and families across Albany County.
