Apple’s $750M F1 broadcast rights deal has its critics, but it’s a better deal than you think.

Some believed Apple overpaid. Some question why the most valuable company in the world keeps going after niche sports like MLS, MLB, etc.

Others question if the popularity of the F1 movie, grand prix, docs, actually converts to watching live F1 on TV.

But these deals need to be looked at on a viewership basis. And compared to Amazon’s NFL Thursday Night football or NBA deals, F1 is in line if Apple TV maintains ESPN’s audience.

That’s a big IF, but time will tell.
