Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh held its grand opening on Thursday at 1671 Clarkson Road.

The restaurant is owned by local operator Sayed Abdali and adds to the company’s existing restaurant in Clayton at 8143 Maryland Ave. The two stores are the chain’s only locations in Missouri, according to its website.

The restaurant offers dine-in, takeout and catering. Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh offers a build-your-own menu centered on Mediterranean staples such as hummus, pitas, salads, gyros and rice bowls. Customers can choose proteins, vegetables and sauces. The chain markets its food as made with simple, minimally processed ingredients.
