MIRPUR (AJK),  (Parliament Times) : In response to the call of Azad government of the State of Jammu Kashmir, people across the liberated territory of AJK will observe black day on Wednesday Sept. 25 to register protest against the forced holding 2nd phase of the farcical elections to the socalled state Legislative Assembly in the Indian Illegally occupied Jammu & Kashmir against the aspirations and wishes of population of the internationally-acknowledged disputed Himalayan occupied state.

Call for the AJK-wide black day has been given by the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu & Kashmir Ch. Anwarul haq led AJK state government.

The day will be marked with mass protest rallies, to be attended by people from all segments of the civil society, in all small and major towns on AJK including the capital city of Muzaffarabad, Mirpur Rawalakot and other district and tehsil headquarters to register resentment against the repeated blatant violations of the international norms and commitments by India through staging of the sham elections drama in the disputed occupied Jammu & Kashmir territory, AJK government authorotative sources told our Special Jammu Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao here on Monday.

“The objective of holding of AJK-wide black day, to be followed by protest rallies and demonstrations against the forced holding of the Occupied srate Assembly elections will be aimed at to invite the attention of the international, community towards the importance of early peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue through grant of the right to self determination in line with the UN resolutions – since the repeated. socalled elections can never be the substitute of the plebiscite in the disputed Himalayan Jammu Kashmir state, the sources said

In Mirpur, people belonging to all walks of life including traders, lawyers, journalists, social and political workers, employees of private and public sector organizations will bring out a mammoth protest rally from district court premises at 11.00 a.m on September 25, under the auspices of the National Events Organizing Committee NEOC, an umbrella forum of the representative organisations of all classes of the local civil society headed by its chairman- Deputy Commissioner Yasir Riaz Chaudhry.

The Deputy Commissioner Yasir Riaz Chaudhry told this Correspondent here on Monday that the protest demonstration will be staged under the auspices of the National Events Organizing Committee with the coordination of all classes of the local civil ssociety to be facilitated duly by the local district authorities.

Senior officials of the District Administration including Tehsildar Chaudhry Imran Yousaf, PID Mirpur Divisional office head Javeid Malik and other nation-building departments’ head and others were also present on this occasion.

Through several of unanimous resolutions stated to be passed on this occasion, the scheduled black day rally will declare that the ongoing forcibly-imposed farcical Indian elections drama in the Indian Illegally occupied state of Jammu Kashmir will clearly prove to be another abortive attempt aimed at to mislead the external world, following the complete boycott of the sham polls by the Kashmiri people as they always boycotted all similar tsocalled elections in the occupied state including the recently conducted first phase of the sham elections.

“Elections in occupied Jammu Kashmir can never be the substitute of the right of self determination of the Kashmiris”, the NEOC Chairman said while unveiling the salient features of the scheduled black day against the farsical elections, he added
