Alaskan Trapper in Cabin



In 1993 I was covering the Fur Rondy in Anchorage for London’s WTN, shooting in Betacam. As a side story I spent a few days with a trapper and his wife, arriving in a puddle jumper with skis on a frozen lake out in the hinterlands. As he was discussing native wear versus manufactured clothing, I broke out my Hi-8 camera and recorded a couple of minutes of his discussion.
