The keys to wealth in the black community, in my view, lie around family-based solutions that utilize powernomics philosophies that are taught to children at an early age.

I am speaking with Dr Claud Anderson today at 3:30 pm EST on http://TheBlackFinancialChannel.com for the big picture overview. But after the interview is over, I am hoping that #blackpeople will take notice and begin to apply the principles of #BlackWealth within your own home.

Here are a few things you can do right now to build the economic potential of your own family:

1) Make sure your kids own shares of stock as early as possible. Buy shares often and try not to ever sell. This makes a huge difference for their wealth.

2) Encourage your children to use the assets from their stock purchases for a down payment on a home. Studies show that young people who own property at an early age have the greatest shot at long-term wealth accumulation.

3) Teach your kids how to start a #BlackOwnedBusiness. College degrees are not a bad thing, but it doesn’t actually close the racial wealth gap. It is the ability to generate income above and beyond monthly expenses that leads to the opportunity for wealth accumulation. The best way to do that is to start a business.

The other benefit of your kids knowing how to start a #blackowned business is that they won’t be slaves to the racist economic system. Having options is critically important when it comes to accessing your personal happiness and fulfillment.
