There are two types of vending machines, passive (ones that require little maintenance) and active ( ones that require you to refill every time the goods run low )

So in this video, I’ll give you 5 different vending machine businesses, and I’ll give you a rough estimate of what it would take to start.

Fun fact: japan has over 5Million vending machines nationwide, and I did some research and one big reason is because of the work culture, people work a lot and instead of hanging around, it’s a lot more efficient to just grab and go

Money Machines ( ATM )

You place these in locations that people need cash

One of my favorites in barbershops

You can charge someone $3 and even $6 at the right location

So basically:

Imagine you have cash you put into the vending machine ( $1,000)

I go an take out $100 and you charge me $3 for the transaction

And then debit card or credit card I use will send the $100 to my bank

Tip: its like recycling cash, machines can cost anywhere from $500 to a lot more deepening if you buy used or not

Passive: Yeah, just reload cash and continue and you don’t need to reload a bunch , maybe $1000 to 2k

Money Counting machine and Change ( Coin Machine )

Back in the day I remmeber change machines use to be very popular and also coin machines

Where you would put in $20 and get back the cash in lower mounts ( usually for laundary we did this)

And when ever I would save up a lot of coins, I would go to the bank and drop itin the machine and it would charge me 15% ( but I neve used it, I would always count )

Both machines I don’t like: hoever depdning on your location, you may see an opportunity with this. But I don’t recommend it that much.

But you could work with Coinstar and get a pontential franchise

Passive: super, you don’t need to do much except pick up the coins and reload

Snack Machine ( Pop, Snacks and all the other stuff )

This all depends, you can buy them used or new

Used from $500 and up usually to $3,000 dollars new potentially

It all depends on what you want to get

Now this is not that passive, beucasse you do need to go shipping and buy the products, refill and continue

Digital Machines ( game )

Arcades, pull lever games and even casino ones

These prices can range obviously and also depend on the state

But for the most part they requeire very little work

For example: when I would go with my mom to do laundry, I would always see those vending machines, and people would play on them, they put in cash and you they get to play. I think buffola wild wins had some too

Charger Vending Machine

This is bit newer and has to put into a great location usually hotels and airport

But people will pay you just to charge

And that does require a lot of work at all

However: these machines are a bit newer and a bit more pricey
