Bid To Arrest Putin: South African President Warns Of Dire Consequence | NC Now | 19-07-23

Cyril Ramaphosa, the president of South Africa, claims that his nation will not risk going to war with Russia. This was said by Ramaphosa in his affidavit in response to the Democratic Alliance’s court request to have Russian President Vladimir Putin detained in accordance with an ICC warrant.

According to President Cyril Ramaphosa, South Africa would have difficulties carrying out the request to hold Putin and is aware of the serious repercussions if it did so.

He added that Russia has made it plain that detaining its president in office would constitute a declaration of war. Ramaphosa said in his affidavit that the government must keep its plans for handling the situation under wraps.
