Today marks an unbelievable transformation in our journey of building our dream home in the village in Africa 🏡.
We began the day with an important milestone — piping water to our dream home. Together with the help of our amazing community, we dug a trench from the main road all the way to our home, bringing us one step closer to comfort, functionality, and modern living. This moment truly showed the power of unity and teamwork in African village life ❤️.
Next, we moved indoors to continue the bathroom makeover. We installed all the essential modern bathroom accessories, including the toilet, handwash basin, and everything needed to complete a clean, functional, and stylish bathroom. Watching this space come together was deeply satisfying and a clear sign of how far our dream home has come.
🔥 Today’s Giant Feast – 50kg Cow Leg in a Homemade Tandoor
To celebrate the progress, we prepared something extraordinary. We cooked a 50kg cow leg, generously marinated with a rich blend of natural spices and traditional ingredients:
• Onions
• Tamarind
• Lemons
• Ginger & garlic
• Paprika
• Turmeric
• Cumin
• Coriander
• Salt
• Ash — used traditionally as a natural meat tenderizer
The meat was then grilled slowly in a homemade tandoor, resulting in juicy, tender, and crispy beef packed with deep flavor. With the help of Mama Chogo, we also prepared soft, layered chapati, incredibly fluffy and delicious — the perfect accompaniment to this village feast.
