Organizers of Chatham-Kent’s Black Excellence Awards are kicking of a month of celebration with a special event geared towards young people in the community.

The inaugural Black Youth Expo is slated to take place Saturday, February 1^st at the WISH Centre in Chatham.

Officials say the showcase is designed to inspire and guide students from all backgrounds on their journeys, emphasizing the importance of education and leadership.

Local organizations and businesses are invited to be part of the expo to help play a role in shaping the futures of young people by showcasing their expertise and opportunities.
