Bola Bardet a 2023 ABH Top 10 Hero and the Founder and CEO of SUSU, originally from Benin, moved to France in her early twenties. While abroad, she missed her family and she could send a lot of gifts, but one thing she couldn’t send was essential medical care. When her father fell ill back home in Benin, she felt utterly helpless.

That feeling sparked the birth of Susu. Her driving belief? ‘No matter where you live you should be able to get the same standard of healthcare’ Through Susu, she made it possible for people living abroad to purchase health insurance plans for their families back home.
