Denver Public Schools sends teachers disturbing anti-white ‘Black Excellence Pledge’, leak shows

A leaked document purportedly shows the “commitment” to “Black Excellence” made by Denver Public Schools in an internal memo.

The memo was posted online and prompted journalist Megyn Kelly to react, “Disgusting racists.”

“Our Superintendent and the Senior Leadership Team stands with the Board as we take action and speak about our commitment to justice and support for our Black and African American students,” the document reads.

“Equity starts from the top,” the memo continues ahead of a chart that includes one column that is an “acknowledgment of harm,”  another that states “what we believe is foundational to change” and a third column on “what we commit to do” about it.

Some of the entries in the “acknowledgment” column include “Institutional Racism exists in Denver Public Schools, and at all levels,” and “We have not been supportive enough of our Black leaders and educators.”

The memo included a rebuttal of sorts to deal with any criticisms or expected pushback.

Understandably, the posted memo sparked heated reactions like that of Megyn Kelly on social media.
