FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — The Dyer Foundation gave $129,000 to 17 Black business owners.Tammy Dyer and her late husband Jack Dyer founded the organization after realizing not everyone has the same access to resources.”We received loans and support from family and friends when we needed them and we realized that not everybody had that same opportunity,” Dyer said. The foundation is now in its fourth year and has expanded beyond financial support.”Now we offer a year-long program of what we call WISE, which is offering support on more of a psychological basis,” Dyer said. “More financial planning, strategic planning, psychological work as well as coaching.”Those interested in applying can visit the foundation’s website.
