Pack your passport, your fiercest fits, and a whole lot of pride, Gayes — because Global Black Pride is taking over Paris in 2026! That’s right, from September 9–13, 2026, the City of Light will blaze even brighter as it becomes the heartbeat of Black queer liberation.

For the first time ever, Global Black Pride (GBP) will land on French soil — transforming Paris into a powerful convergence of art, activism, and ancestral magic. Imagine it: five unforgettable days where ballroom meets the Louvre, protest meets poetry, and Black queer brilliance reigns supreme across every arrondissement.

“Global Black Pride 2026 in the city of Paris will mark a critical moment in history for Black LGBTQI+ people globally,” shared Monroe France, Chair of Global Black Pride. “We’re honored to partner with the city and local Black and Francophone communities to co-create a revolutionary event that celebrates the excellence of Black LGBTQI+ people across the diaspora. Let’s see what good and productive trouble we can get into — Paris, here we come!”

Gaye Magazine has proudly followed Global Black Pride’s rise since its inception — even serving as the official media partner for its inaugural in-person celebration in Atlanta in 2024. That week-long gathering brought thousands together under one banner of unity and visibility, setting the stage for what has now become a global movement of empowerment and cultural pride.

Now, with Paris as its next destination, Global Black Pride is expanding its vision — transforming the momentum of Atlanta’s success into a global declaration of solidarity.

Here’s the five-day lineup you won’t want to miss:

September 9: Opening Reception · Sponsor’s Cocktail · Media Briefing
September 10: GBP Village Exhibition & Main Stage · The Global Black Queer Assembly — Power. Culture. Innovation.
September 11: Black Excellence Trans Rally · Black Excellence Awards Gala
September 12: Global Black Pride March · Global Black Pride Music Festival · Official After Party
September 13: Global Black Pride Day Party · Independent Affiliate Events

From the March to the Music Festival, the GBP Village to the Awards Gala — every event is designed to honor the power of community and the joy of being seen.

“Global Black Pride Paris 2026 is more than an event — it’s a homecoming for our global movement,” said Rikki Nathanson, Vice President of Global Black Pride. “By bringing Pride to Francophone Europe, we’re reclaiming space, rewriting history, and showing the world that Black queer joy is revolutionary.”

President Micheal Ighodaro echoed the sentiment, calling GBP Paris 2026 “a declaration — a bold statement that we are united, visible, and unstoppable.”

At a time when Black queer communities across Europe and the diaspora continue to battle for visibility, safety, and belonging, Global Black Pride Paris 2026 stands as both refuge and resistance. It’s a celebration of what connects us — and a vision of the world we’re still building together.

So whether you’re sipping espresso in Montmartre, voguing under the Eiffel Tower, or marching through the Marais — remember this: you’re not just attending a Pride, you’re part of history.
