1. Remove Everything you don’t need
– Take a look at your bank account over the last 30-60 days
– Categories all your transactions like this, Shelter, utilities, groceries, and transportation
– Anything that falls outside of that, add it all up, and divide it by your monthly income

Get that number as low as possible:
– If these add up to $500 a month
– And you make $4000 a month
– That’s 12.5% of your income, may not seem like a lot

But look at it like this:
– If you make 20 bucks an hour
– That’s 25 hours of your time being spent on garbage you don’t need
– Or 1Million dollars compounded over 30 years at 10%

2. Optimize the stuff you need
– As a person, I am a hypocrite sometimes
– I need a car but I don’t need a $40,000 dollar truck
– I need a phone but I don’t need a $1000 dollar phone
– Point is, needing something doesn’t mean you spend a bunch of money and get an expensive version of it

Housing: How do you save money on rent
– Get a roommate ( this saves a friend of mine about $900 a month )
– Move to a cheaper location with a longer commute ( my aunt saved so much money she was able to buy a house )
– Move states ( this saved me about $1,000 living here in Dominican Republic)

Utilities
– Electricity, Gas, Water, Phone and internet for the most part
– Don’t be an idiot and spend $1000 on getting new appliances that are low consumption ( do the math first and make sure it makes sense ) if the savings are in like 3-5 years I’m not doing it
– I’m not buying 25k worth of solar panels to get my money back in 10 years
– Phone bill: Find low-cost plans like Mint mobile
– Internet: compare prices and no needs more than 100mbs usually
– Phone itself: used and cash

Groceries:
– Eat at home 80-90% of the time and schedule your eatouts and budget
– Get a menu, so you finally know what you’ll be eating
– Meal prep to save money and time

Transportation :
– So many people spending $700 a month on a car payment complaining about how life is not fair
– Sell those cars that you can’t afford and pay cash for a car you can

Tip: if you do this you’ll save a lot of money, maybe 30-50% but if you want to go future do this

3. Payoff Your debt and Schedule Fun
– Debt is interest
– Debt is leverage
– The fastest you done paying this stuff off the faster you’ll be free

While doing this:
– Take 5-10% for fun
– Better do this than have random time when you spend a lot of money
