I Spend around 3.3% of my income, and I make a little over 15k per month, and if you’re wondering what the math to that is, it means I only spend around $488 dollars month. And most of those expenses are needs, like food, internet and phone.

Now before you say, Tommy, you can save 1000 easy because you make so much money, but that’s not true. I started with $60 a week and worked my way up, even while I was on minimum wage I manage to save 10k.

So in this video im going to give you 3 ways to save 1000 a month on minimum wage, and all the ways work together to maximize your success.

I how to save 1000 in 30 days on minimum wage

Reason: Three options and not just one
– I know most people just say save more and you’ll be good, but how do you save more when your making the same and have the same expenses.
– Answer: You don’t ( so I fixed that)

1. Savings: $33 days, $250 a week and $1000 a month
Story: It’s the standard traditional way of saving, every time you get paid you take some money and put it on the side in high yield savings accounts.

How to: Every time you get paid you take no less than 10% and you save it up in a high-yield savings accounts. I use Wealthfront.

Why: 10% is a good number you probably won’t miss, believe it or not, uncle sam takes 20-30% and you might complain but you still make it work.
– And the reason you keep it in a high yield savings: is to fight inflation, and also it takes 3 days to get your money back into your accounts, which reduces the temptation

Example: Billy Makes minimum wage and earn $15 an hour and works 40 hours a week
– 600 a week and $2400 a month
– Uncle sam take 20% and billy takes 10% ( of what uncle same left, extreme is to take 10% before tax)
– Before-tax $240 after the year $2,880
– After-tax $192 after the year $2,304

May not seem like a lot: but its 20% close to your goal of $1000 a month

2. Lower Expenses: Common Expenses we can lower
1. Living: If you live in a space that’s taking more than 60-70 percent of your income: its time to move out

2. Consumption: food, snacks and the way you eat ( get a note pad and write down what you eat in one week and how much)
Cook at Home: Get organic meals and do meal preps
Math: People often spend 600 bucks per month on food ( and they think they are buying quality but really their buying convenience of eating out )
Annually: $7200

Goal: Spend 200 or less on organic meals: Average chicken breast is $5 that’s 40 chicken breast a month
Math: Instead of 600 I spend 200 and save 400 a month

Closer to the goal by 40%

I’m too busy: You won’t be busy to go to the doctor though

3. Entertainment: Spotify, Netflix, all those subscriptions that are hurting you
Example: internet Bill, Cable Bill, and even your phone bill
Math: Negotiate the price on this stuff
– Average: Average person spend 237.33 per month

What to Do: Look on the internet for a better offer and then call your company and negotiate.
– That’s what I did with optimum, my phone bill
– Netflix I just a few friends together and they pay me and that way I don’t pay Netflix

3. Increase income
– Side Hustle Ideas ( talk about all the business plans you’ve created)
– Ask for a raise
– Raise your education through certificate or college degree
