1. Walk a Mile in My Shoes
– Let’s start here, how many pairs of shoes do you own
– Don’t guess get up and count if you can, and let go together
– I have about 27 pairs of shoes, and I just ordered two more
Just like you: I only have two feet
– Just like you, although I have all those shoes, I only use about 4-6 pairs
– So what should I do here
– Should I sell them, give them away or burn them
The answer: I have a lot more than I need
– So I should be aware of this
– That every time I buy another pair of shoes
– It’s literally a waste of money, vanity, and deplorable ( that’s a strong word )
2. Let’s look at what I Drive
– I drive sometimes a toyota Corolla 2017 which my friend owns
– Or my moms Sante Fe Hyndai
– Do you know why I don’t own a car ( when last year I almost spent $40,000 on one
I asked myself why do I need a car
– Is it because I need it
– Convenience
– Status
– Fitting in
– Sense of freedom
Truth is:
– The answer was, I was I didn’t need a car
– And If I bought a car it would be a waste of money
– So I borrow my friend’s cars
– And I also take public transportation
Ask yourself this:
– Would that make you feel embarrassed
– Would that make you feel less
What should you do:
– If you spend $700 on a car a month
– And you can trade that car for public transport for $200 a month
– You should consider that or get a cheaper car
3. I want you to look at your phone
– I spent $550 on this iPhone 13
– I spend $30 a month to keep it active
– Why?
This phone has everything I need:
– I’ll use it until it turns off
– And it’s the minimum amount I can pay for what I need
– But why do you have a phone you can’t even afford to payoff in cash, and why are you paying for unlimited 5g like you at a buffet
4. Lastly I want you to look at your bank account statement
– Why I’m I spending $200 a month on eating out
– Why did I spend almost $1000 on gifts, spending, and stuff
– Why, why why
why:
– I like eating out and spending time socializing with my friends
– Do you have a problem saying no?
– Do you feel guilty?
5. You should watch this video and look around your house and say ( why?)
– I’m going to start selling and giving some stuff away for sure
– A lot of poor people have too much stuff
– And a lot of rich have too much stuff
– But can be stupid
