Idaho Black Community Alliance to host grand opening event in Meridian


The Idaho Black Community Alliance is hosting its grand opening event March 29 for community members to meet the organization and support Black-owned businesses. 

When: 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 29
Where: 925 N. Main St. in Meridian

The event will feature vendors providing refreshments, music and networking opportunities with members of the Idaho Black Community Alliance. The purpose of the grand opening is to introduce the alliance to the community while uplifting the businesses within Idaho’s Black community. Meridian elected officials will be present, and the Meridian Chamber of Commerce will host the alliance’s ribbon-cutting ceremony. 

“We are excited to open our doors and welcome everyone to our new community space,” Trish Walker, the CEO and founder of the alliance, said in a press release. “This grand opening event is not only a celebration of unity but also a testament to our commitment to supporting and promoting the businesses that contribute to the vibrancy of our community.”

According to the press release, attendees can expect to engage in meaningful conversations, network with community members, and learn more about the initiatives and resources offered by the Idaho Black Community Alliance.
