I wrote this song as a silent rebellion against the typical career paths set for us by our parents and society. Although well meaning, this often creates a strong juxtaposition between who God has called us to be and who society and other people tell us to become. With that being said,

“Follow your dreams. You can be anything you want to be if you work really hard, pay attention, and are kind and respectful to people along the journey. ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.’ Proverbs 3:5–6. I am living proof of this very testimony.”

What if African parents made a rap song? 😂
“Doctor, Lawyer, Engineer” is the official anthem of every African childhood. From bad report cards to flying slippers, this track proves parents only know three careers: Doctor, Lawyer, or Engineer.

If you grew up hearing “go and read,” this is your theme song. Turn it up and relive the trauma in 4K!
