Langworthy announces grant for CHRIC | News, Sports, Jobs

Rep. Nick Langworthy announced a $105,000 federal grant from NeighborWorks America to Arbor Housing and Development in Corning and the Chautauqua Home Rehabilitation and Improvement Corporation.

This grant funding will catalyze efforts to lower the cost of housing and expand the nation’s housing supply, support vibrant economic opportunities, revitalize, and sustain neighborhoods to build stronger and safer communities, and create jobs in the region.

“I’m proud to announce yet another NeighborWorks grant which will create jobs in our district while expanding housing supply in the area,” said Langworthy. “Affordable housing remains a huge hurdle for many that live in Western New York and the Southern Tier. I am excited to see these communities get funding to help provide relief for those who are experiencing housing uncertainty.”
