Muhammad Salem is carrying forward a family legacy with Champ Boxers, a business that originated with his father before transitioning to the next generation. Now led by Muhammad, his brother and cousin as the “number one boxers briefs,” the company has found new energy through active networking and community engagement at events where entrepreneurs gather to build connections and grow their brands.
For Salem, success isn’t about sitting back and waiting for opportunities — it’s about getting out, talking to people and making genuine connections that can lead to unexpected partnerships and growth.
What’s your name and who are you here with?
Muhammad Salem here with Champ Boxers, No. 1 boxers briefs.
How do you like the event Invest Fest so far?
It’s going well right now, man. It’s going real good. There’s a lot of energy, a lot of people out here spending money, a lot of great vendors out here. It’s going pretty good.
What’s the most important thing you can say a business can get in Invest Fest?
Right now, I feel like it’s networking, to branch out, learn different things from different people because you never know who you might meet.
What’s the biggest impact of Invest Fest for you?
Right now, I think the biggest thing is we’ve been meeting different people. Really, I think the biggest thing is getting ourselves out here and talking to people. If you just sit back and relax, you ain’t going to meet nobody. We’ve been out here talking to people, telling them about our brand, meeting them, asking them where they’re from, making them feel comfortable, things like that.
What’s the story behind Champ boxers?
Well, it came from my dad originally. He started it, but he didn’t want to do it no more because he branched off and started doing his own thing with True Detergent. And me, my brother and my cousin, we came and we took it over from him basically.
