Manchester, CT – November 4, 2024 – The Academy of Martial Arts in Manchester, CT, invites the public to honor our dedicated students at the upcoming Black Belt Promotion ceremony, a celebration of discipline, perseverance, and achievement. This prestigious event recognizes the hard work of students who excelled at our recent black belt test, marking a significant milestone in their martial arts journey.
Join us to witness and celebrate the accomplishments of these remarkable individuals. All students are encouraged to come in uniform and adult students are invited to join our candidates new ranks in a special celebratory training directly after their promotion ceremony
This promotion ceremony proudly announces the successful completion of a rigorous Black Belt test held on November 2, 2024. Students from diverse backgrounds gathered to demonstrate their skills, discipline, and dedication to the mastery of martial arts. The Academy, a center renowned for its blend of Taekwondo, Hapkido, Tang Soo Do, and Judo, upholds a tradition of testing that emphasizes physical excellence and mental resilience.
Up to test from The Academy’s Adult program were: Ms. Ivelisse Acevedo and Ms. Rebecca Scanlon for 3rd Dan, and Mr. Dhirendra Bhagat, Ms. Caitlee Williams, Mr. Cody Mousseau and Mr. Rohit Annapareddy for their 1st Dan’s.
Up to test from The Academy’s Youth program were: Ms. Dhanya Sanakkayala, Mr. Suryakrishna Toram, Mr. Miraj Majid and Ms. Fatimah Majid – all testing for their 1st Dan.
The Black Belt test featured comprehensive evaluations, where participants demonstrated a combination of traditional techniques, including powerful Taekwondo strikes, joint manipulation through Hapkido, and leverage-based techniques from Judo. This holistic test encapsulates The Academy’s mission to foster personal growth, self-defense skills, and a deep respect for martial arts tradition.
Family members and community supporters were in attendance, cheering on the candidates as they completed intense skill assessments and demonstrated their knowledge and respect for the art. This milestone underscores The Academy’s commitment to not only teaching self-defense but also promoting social responsibility, personal excellence, and a lifelong path of self-improvement.
