How I invest my money and why I do it. When I was 18 years old, I always wanted to know how people invested and how much they had invested.

1. Before I started Invested I did 3 things: (why?)
– Saved up for 6 months of emergencies ( so I have 12k that I don’t touch )
– Paid off my Credit Card Debt ( I never paid interest, but last year, I paid a little over 13k In credit card debt I used to make more money)
– I started small with 7.60 in an app called acorns with a moderately aggressive portfolio that’ll ill break down later on

2. Acorns
– I started investing with them in late 2018 literally around December.
– And the market actually lost a ton of value during that year I think
– But I started with $7.60 and I currently have around $23,736.93

Strategy:
– I wanted to commit to saving $500 every single month into my moderately aggressive portfolio
– That contains 80% stock ETF’s and 20% bonds ETFs
– I knew I wanted to invest for the long term, so I didn’t want to take a ton of risk.

Total Gain: $1,611.36 or 6.79%
– Which to me is cool since the market is still down since January but since I keep investing money, I can still average it out

Tip: the reason I have more money than I would with just $500 monthly, is because I invest more when the market is down.

3. Robinhood
– When I first started I got a free stock when signing up with them
– And till this day I got lucky and actually got a Microsoft stock
– But I started with a $4 Groupon stock and now my portfolio size is $12,006

Strategy:
– For picking stocks in analyzing the Balance sheet, Income statements, cash flow statements
– !0k forms and the 10-q
– But overall I just look for good companies going throw a rough time ( example a pandemic)
Total Gain: $1,527 bucks or 12.73%

4. Sofi Money
– I started using this year
– I have currently invested around $17,5884.53
– Currently, the only non-etf or bond investment I have is Delta ( and I’m looking at some other ones too)

However:
– Most likely this will become my go too
– Because I also bank with them
– And that way I transfer money instantly

Total Gain: $744.95 or 4.24%

Tip: Remember though the market is still very uncertain though, so I might be making this much money to today and be down to 0 tmr. * but for me, it’s a good thing, I” ll just buy more”

5. Cash Investing
– I started with $4 in some apple stocks
– Now I have around $2,400 invested
– And I made around $497.70

Total Gain: 20% almost

6. Overall Guys:
– The point is this video is to show how I started and why I invest the way I do
– But when I first started investing I made mistakes that cost me money also
– And I’ll probably make some more ( but remember to look at the facts and not emotions)
