Hello, everyone. Welcome to SA Today. On 25 April 2025, we will start today’s video with the Vaal River in flood in South Africa, today. Parys is currently flooded, and also the areas around the Vaal Dam. All the dams downstream, such as Bloemhof Dam and Vanderkloof Dam, are more than 100% full and overflowing. The Krom Elmboog Spruit along the R59 between Parys and Sasolburg is also flooding. The Gariep Dam is at 106.6% full and overflowing its wall. We drive at 07h00 past the Hartebeespoort Dam. We walked around Mac Banana near Port Edward in KZN and stayed over at the Outeniqua Game Farm, Brandwag / Mossel Bay. The Car Museum at Casterbridge in White River, Mpumalanga Province, and we will show you more areas around South Africa.

The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows:
Today, a strong cut-off low system is moving out of KwaZulu-Natal, causing heavy rain. Expect a foggy and chilly morning on the Highveld and Free State, clearing to sunny skies by afternoon. The west coast will be hot due to bergwubds. The South African Weather Service has issued several warnings: a yellow Level 4 Warning for disruptive rain along the KwaZulu-Natal coast, with flooding possible, and a yellow Level 2 Warning for localized flooding in parts of the Eastern Cape. Extremely high fire danger is expected in the Northern and Western Cape. Stay safe and monitor local conditions!
