Southern Georgia Black Chambers joins U.S. Black Chambers

VALDOSTA — The Southern Georgia Black Chambers (SGBC), the premier regional business advocacy organization serving Black-owned enterprises across an 18-county footprint in South Georgia, has officially been accepted as an active member organization of the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. (USBC).
Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. serves as the undisputed “National Voice of Black Business,” representing an affiliated network of more than 160 Black chambers of commerce and over 380,000 Black-owned businesses nationwide under the leadership of President and CEO Ron Busby Sr.
This landmark affiliation connects South Georgia’s homegrown entrepreneurs, agricultural operators, licensed trade contractors, and professional service providers directly into federal policy roundtables, national corporate supplier diversity pipelines, and tier-one capital access initiatives on Capitol Hill.
“Our formal induction into the U.S. Black Chambers marks an extraordinary turning point in our 2026 ‘Year of Execution,’” said H. DeWayne Johnson, president, CEO, and board chairman of the Southern Georgia Black Chambers. “For too long, rural and regional Black-owned businesses south of the Macon line have operated in geographic silos, overlooked by major institutional resources. By joining the USBC family, we ensure that our 18-county business ecosystem has an active, permanent seat at the national economic table. What we build in Valdosta, Nashville, Tifton, and across South Georgia is now directly connected to the broader national Black economy.”
