1. The concept of this book is simple – It’s the idea that you are constantly sabotaging yourself from success – To return to a comfortable state that you are complacent with – And that sound stupid but it’s true and I’ll give you three examples of how I sabotaged my life
Number One: Cleaning your room – This is a simple one that I bet a lot of you can relate to – And its that you clean your room and for a brief moment you become a tidy, neat, organized person (( but you and you mine can’t sustain that image) – So one week later you’re bad to have a bunch of random stuff everywhere ( you played yourself aka sabotaged yourself, back to the easy version of yourself you have something to go for again)
Number Two: Going to the Gym – This is embarrassing but here are some pictures of me just a year ago – It feels like every year I get back to the gym and get back to being fit – And then all of sudden I miss a day or two and eating 10lb of cheesecake (it’s me sabotaging myself, you played yourself)
Number Three: Starting a Youtube Channel – I’ve been posting videos on and off since I was 11 years old – But when I went to college at age 17 got very serious – And every time I made progress with vlogs, I would do a comedy video or tech video anime video ( this meant I had to start from 0 every single time – I sabotaged myself)
Tip: the common thing in all these situations is me, and how every time I made progress I thought I had to restart or try something else, and then boom I lose everything.
2. Why This is ( and the three sabotages in your life) – In life, there are three sabotages – And these are the things that keep you returning to 0 – Or what you’re are most comfortable with
And they are as follows:
Sabotage One: The way you yourself – I’m Procrastinator ( but procrastination is not a person its just a thing you do sometimes and you can change) – I do the bare minimum – I’m going to end up like my dad ( had so much and lost it all) – I’m an outsider
Sabotage Two: The way you others – People have their best interest in mind – People don’t want solutions they want someone to do it for them – You cant help them
Obviously, I think this way: because I’ve tried helping a lot of people that don’t want my help, and people that do things for self-interest only. But what I learn is that some people just need a spark to change their life when they are ready
Sabotage Three: The way you see the world – I think it’s indifferent ( to what you want, what you say or what you think) – You only get what you deserve
And the idea is: that ones you understand the way you sabotage yourself, to acknowledge and then stop feeding those ideas and feed the ones that help you.
3. Examples I love the most in this book – Things happen only for the reason they happen ( dad) – Your Michelangelo’s carving out a block of marble into David ( you create yourself) – You are who you pretend to be, so be careful who you pretend to be ( pretend to be healthy and you’ll be that) * PRO TIP* INFORMATION IS EVERYTHING
