The Millionaire Investing Advice for Teenagers

In this video, I’m going to give you, 5 different ways you can start investing, even if you are a teenager. Anywhere from 13-18 ( it still has the teen in it, so it counts )

Segway: Now the very thing is this I want to give you guys these 3 books I wish I got when I was 12 years old, or at least forced to read them like they made me read shake spear.
– The Richest Man In Babylon
– The intelligent investor by Benjamin Graham
– The little book about investing John c bogle
Bonus: As a man Thinketh by James Allen

– I guarantee if you read those books, you will not make the mistakes I made

1. Open A Roth IRA Account
– It has no age limit and you can start investing inside of it, as long as you are making some sort of income
– This is an account to set after-tax income for your retirement
– But with a Roth your ant take the money out whenever you want, penalty-free

What you need:

– A job
– your parents to open a Custodial IRAs account for you

Q&S: Yes you can select your investments once you open one up.
– Stocks, Index funds, ETFs and more
– and more

Say For Example You invested $5000 for 5 years at 7% return ( A Little less than $100 bucks per week )
The total amount at Age 18: $28k Saved up
Total Amount at Age 30: $125k Saved Up

2. Broker Account and Invest into Index Funds ( you’ll need a custodial account this) –
– So index funds are my favorite way to invest
– Its basically boring investing
– Which is what you want, when you want to build wealth

How it works:
– If you invest in the S&P 500 index fund by Vanguard
– It basically means you own the top 500 companies
– So whatever the market returns that year, you’ll also have a share of the profits

But:
– This also means that you’re are diversifying,
– So your returns will be lower because of less risk
– But again boring is good

3. Invest in Real Estate
– I know, Tommy I’m a teenager I can’t do it
– But.. what you can do is start investing in education for real estate and also for that down payment
– And I wish I did this, I had to learn at age 19 and, I’m still learning to this day.

Idea:
– Read books and take seminars on real estate
– Save for 10-20% of your down payment by putting it aside in a high yield savings account
– But only do this, if you don’t have anywhere else to invest your money that will get you a higher return

If you do:
– Just invest in the education
– And invest your money somewhere else
– And then when you’re ready to buy, then start saving up for it

4. Invest in a Business
– I’m not talking about Amazon or Facebook
– I’m talking about making your own business and trying to create income from it
– Look for three things: something you like, are good at and also can making money from

What it’ll take:
– It’ll take research
– A lot of experimenting
– And also of adjustments

For example Michael Rubin
– Started at age 16
– And now is valued at 2.9 billion dollars
– Step by step

And also Tommy Bryson:
– Started selling and flipping at age 14-15
– So at that age, I was making money by understanding what my friends wanted and giving it to them
– But I only did it for video games money

5. Education
– If any of this stuff that I mention sounds impossible
– Its because you don’t know how to do it
– But once you educate yourself on it, you’ll be good

I recommend:
– Read Books
– Rake seminars
– And be patient

Example: if you one to become a billionaire, notice all those guys are pretty older, so it takes time

– However becoming a millionaire, it’s a little easier, it’s all about patients and smart investments.
