There’s a great book called acres of Diamond, and the entire idea is around people who leave where they currently are in search of opportunities and basically neglect all available opportunities they have where they are.

So yes, a lot of people are leaving the US, including myself and that was the best decision that I made. But I left to come back home, be with family, make a family and set some roots. Plus a bonus is saving a ton of money and having a better life.

But in America, people become debt-free, own a house, make money from passive income, and do a lot of amazing stuff. Don’t think that you have to buy a 400k homes, homes that cost 60k exist, you need a 700 car payment, cars that cost 1k exist. My point is, that this video is cool, and I highly recommend it, but only if its for you.

1. People are Leaving the US for 3 main reasons and we’ll cover them all here

#1 The Cost of Earning Money is to High
– The average American works about 2,080 hours a year
– And gets maybe 2 weeks of vacation time
– That may not seem like a big deal but it is and you should think that it is
– It’s about 260 working days ( Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day )
– While you could live somewhere else, work half time and earn half the money and live better ( more on that later)
The Culture
– Don’t have kids ( we are sold this idea that kids are liabilities )
– Divorce rate through the roof 42%
– And some strange ideas
– Its culture that is about I and not really family values
– Although a lot of noise is being made on the internet to try to make it like it use to be

The traps are built into the system
– Student loans
– Credit Cards
– Car loans
– Mortgages
– Working forever

2. Where do I recommend you go
Parents usually think
– Where are the schools good that we can put our kids in
– I like the idea of homeschooling
– So that’s one less problem and one great investment in our kids
Safety is subjective in most cases
– I would never say go to a country at war
– But a lot of places are very safe, it just depends where you live and how you live
– Puerto Rico is said to be super dangerous, but where I lived I only saw old people, and my lifestyle of gym and church was extremely “safe”

3. My Favorite Country to Live
Dominican Republic
– I’m biased, I live here and I love it here
– It is cheap compared to the US
– And has a lot the stuff the US has

Puerto Rico
– They speak English
– Use US dollars
– And prices are cheaper than in the US ( at least housing for sure )
Europe
– I’ve never been to Europe
– One day I will
– But most people that I talk to that have gone, they say things are just better there
But I like my island

Some things to Consider:
– Some things are cheaper and others are more expensive
– Focus on the things you need
– Shelter, Utilities, food and transportation
