Why we’re giving away a freezer to this local Atlanta non-profit, Umi Feeds

Hey guys!

If you follow us on Instagram then you likely saw that after a long deliberation, we decided to buy a second freezer for our garage. This will help us cook more in bulk, buy in bulk and store for future use. Not only will it save us time, but it will save us lots of money as well.

Well, we decided that while we were there, we should buy another freezer for someone else who could really use it. After asking for nominations of deserving people, we ultimately landed on Umi Feeds, an Atlanta based non-profit food rescue program that collects food from restaurants and businesses, reheats it and distributes to people in need.

In episode 6 of Money on the Table, we mentioned that we were looking forward to spending more of our time fixing local problems and this may be just the start we needed.
