LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Applications for the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas Fifth Women’s Economic Mobility Hub cohort are now open with a deadline of May 20.
This is a six-month program that aids Black women with their businesses by providing technical assistance and additional resources, including a $5,000 grant to help fund their businesses.
“Arkansas has a wealth of talented Black women entrepreneurs poised to make significant contributions to our economy and communities,” said Anna Beth Gorman, CEO of the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas. “Through the WEM Hub program, we aim to support Black women-owned businesses, particularly in underserved regions of our state. This program gives these entrepreneurs the tools, resources and networks they need to thrive.”
There are both online trainings and in-person meetings that Black women can attend that will give them a lot of support through things like:
The Walton Family Foundation, AT&T, Entergy Arkansas, Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, U.S. Bank, Bank of America, Arvest Bank and Wells Fargo are all sponsors and supporters of the WEM Hub.
