Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are
Guapify, LLC ("Guapify," "we," "us") runs guapify.com, an online community where people connect, learn, and level up financially. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the website, the community, events, masterclasses, Guap Topics, Quote of the Day, and the Guap Shop (together, the "Platform").
2. What We Collect
Account and profile. Your name, email, and sign-in method (Google or email and password; your password is held by our hosting provider, not by us). Your profile can include a display name, photo, bio, city, interests, goals, website and social links, portfolio items, onboarding answers, and your email preferences. We also record when you were last online, unless you hide your online status.
Intake answers. When you join a Table, you may answer questions about your money situation, such as how much you have to invest, how much you've saved for a down payment, where your credit stands, and your estate planning plans.
Location ("Members near me"). Only if you choose to share. You can type a city and state or let your device share its location. We save only your city, state and the approximate centre point of that city, never your exact position. To turn your device's location into a city, your browser sends a rounded position (about 1 km) to OpenStreetMap Nominatim, an outside mapping service. A typed city is sent there to find its centre point. If you send a meetup request, we store the names, emails, message, and distance.
Money tools. Budgets, planned income, income and expense entries, goals, and debts, including balances, interest rates (APR), and payments.
What you post and do. Posts, comments, event comments and live chat, direct messages (DMs), quotes you post, follows, votes, RSVPs, Tables you create or join, events you host, saved businesses, uploaded photos, and money-tool entries you choose to share in posts.
Guap score and coins. Your points, coins, streaks, badges, rank, and reward redemptions.
Business submissions. Business name, owner name, contact email and phone, Instagram, logo, and ownership and certification details we use for verification.
Payments. For masterclasses, your seat, payment status, amount, and date (see Section 8).
Glossary requests. If you ask us to add a word to the Money Glossary, we store the word and your email. Ordinary glossary searches aren't stored.
Agreement records. When you agree to our Terms, we record the date and time, the Terms version, and where you agreed (for example, at sign-up or when posting).
Technical data. Our hosting provider, Base44, logs the IP address your device uses to reach Guapify. It also keeps app activity logs listed by your email address, such as sign-ins, pages visited, and records you create or change. These logs are kept for the period set by our hosting provider. See Section 7 for analytics.
Sensitive data. Intake answers, budgets, debts, income, and your location are sensitive. Only you can see your money tools and your saved location in the app. Only you and Guapify admins can see your intake answers. Please don't post bank, card, or Social Security numbers anywhere on Guapify.
3. How We Use It
- Run your account and the community features you use.
- Personalize your experience, such as suggesting Tables, events, and content based on your goals.
- Show nearby members by distance group and city, if you share your location.
- Award Guap points, coins, and badges, and process redemptions.
- Process masterclass payments and, once it opens, Guap Shop orders.
- Send emails: welcome, RSVP confirmations, event reminders, a weekly digest, and notices about badges, rewards, and Tables.
- Review business submissions and glossary requests.
- Keep the Platform safe, enforce our Terms, and meet legal requirements.
We don't send text messages (SMS).
4. AI Features
Some features use AI models provided through our hosting provider, Base44, from AI providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and xAI. One feature, which finds grant opportunities and uses no member data, uses Google Gemini. For the other features our hosting provider picks the model, so we can't say which provider handles a given request. Our hosting provider, Base44, may use data stored in or entered into the Platform, including content members type, to improve and train its AI models, under its own terms. Please don't enter information you aren't comfortable sharing this way. We do not sell your personal information. When businesses submit information or files to be listed, Guapify may use AI to pull out listing details, which can include business contact information such as phone numbers and email addresses. Here's what the AI receives:
- Money Glossary: the word you searched and our list of existing terms. No name or email.
- Guap Topics: the text of outside news articles, to write our summaries. No member data.
- Writing helpers (only when you click the AI button): your name and focus areas for a bio; business name, industry, and description for business text; and event or Table details for titles and descriptions.
- Community summaries and rank cards: titles and author names of recent posts, and your display name, rank, and Guap total for leaderboard images.
- Badge images: the name of the badge you earned (no name or email).
- Business listings: business listing details from submitted files.
The Guap Assistant is a guided menu, not an AI chat. Our AI features don't receive your intake answers, budgets, debts, income or credit answers. Don't enter sensitive personal details into AI helpers.
6. What Other Members Can See
Guapify is a community, so much of what you share is visible to other signed-in members:
- Your profile, including your display name, photo, bio, city, interests, links, email address, when you were last online, and your Guap score, coins, rank, and badges.
- Your posts, comments, event comments and chat, quotes, follows, votes, RSVPs, Table memberships, events you host, and masterclass seats.
- For "Members near me," only your approximate location: your city, state, and a distance group. Other members never see your exact coordinates.
DMs are visible only to you and the person you're messaging. Guapify admins don't read DMs through the app. Some content is public to anyone, such as Guap News posts and some Tables. Photos and files you upload are stored at public web addresses, so anyone who has the link can view them, even without an account.
8. Payments
Masterclass payments are processed by Stripe. We send Stripe your name, email, and member ID, plus the class and price. You enter your card on Stripe's secure checkout page, and your card details never reach Guapify. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the data it handles. Guap coins are reward points, not money.
9. Data Retention
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it for legal, tax, payment, security, or dispute reasons. Backups may keep data for a limited time after that. Usage analytics are deleted after 60 days, and activity logs are kept for the period set by our hosting provider. Deleting your account may not immediately remove photos or files you uploaded from our hosting provider's storage. Content you've shared with others, such as DMs, may remain in their copies.
10. Your Choices and Rights
- Access and correction. You can view and edit your profile and most of your content in the app. To request a copy of your data, use Edit Profile → Your data → Get a copy of my data or email info@guapify.com.
- Deletion. You can delete your own posts, comments, RSVPs, money-tool data, and other content in the app. Event comments, DMs, quotes and business submissions can't yet be deleted in the app, so ask us and we'll remove them. To delete your account and the data tied to it, use Edit Profile → Your data → Delete my account or email info@guapify.com.
- Location. You can turn location sharing off in Edit Profile at any time. When you do, we delete your stored location point and keep only the city you entered, so you can turn it back on later.
- Online status. You can hide when you were last online.
- Email. You can turn off email updates in Edit Profile → Email updates. We'll still send sign-in codes and answers to your privacy requests.
US state privacy rights. Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to know what we collect, get a copy, correct it, delete it, opt out of the sale or sharing of your data, limit the use of sensitive data, and not be treated differently for using these rights. We don't sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, and we use sensitive data only to provide the features you choose. To make a request, email info@guapify.com. We'll verify your identity before acting, and you can appeal a decision by replying to our response.
11. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including access controls that limit who can see sensitive data, and a payment provider that handles card details. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and contact us if you think your account is at risk.
12. Children
Guapify is not directed to anyone under 18. You must be at least 18 to join. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has joined, email info@guapify.com and we'll delete the account.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date and, for significant changes, notify members by email or in the app. Continued use of the Platform means you accept the update.
